    Greatest Thread Battle
    Ok,

We all know that there have been some famous thread battles here at AR, so it's time to select your favorite battle and post a link to that perticular thread. Also, choose your favorite site rivalry..... Let the games begin! Personally I enjoyed this one:

Pretty much any thread that TLADINY/Lexmark3200 participated in. I doubt there are few, if any, threads that did not involve him going psycho on anyone who gave a differing opinion to his. The guy was a certified head-case! He's probably in a mental ward somewhere now. However, myself and I'm sure others miss him for his pure entertainment value.

I don't have the time or will to pull them up but there are some old threads containing some legendary battles between Lex and some of us old regulars.

Some of the SVI threads are pretty funny as well but in a more sad kindof way.

Maybe we can make this thread the greatest battle! I'll start. What a dumb idea.

edit: oh man! GM's sig thread (below)...good times. That's my vote.

    Mine is in my sig.

It includes a troll, and a recap of some Spanky threads, with a little Soundideas thrown in.
But the originals were good also. I'll do some digging and throw in a few of my favs.

    Added:

This is a classic. The original sonic snot thread.
    http://forums.audioreview.com/showth...ght=sonic+snot

Spanky wants us to pick out the best speakers out of 4 pieces of crap.
    http://forums.audioreview.com/showth...light=speakers

Looky here, a nice thread. P.S. Won't like this outcome.

In keeping with the spirit of PS's choice... any thread that I've started. :biggrin5:

Although, GM's last choice showed RL in probably one of his finest moments!

If you put all the other goof-ball vs jackass matches together, it still doesn't match Scotty Aruti/TLADINY/Lexmark/DJ Scotti thread melt down.
Except...as great as he was here, we only saw that tip of the iceberg of Lexie's brilliance....that other webforum where he went on the women bashing streak was just groundbreaking. I don't think there's a webforum anywhere with the pure, raw emotional confession that we saw there.

In a weird kinda way, I sorta miss Lex...though I do have a sneaky suspicion he's still with us.

Lex, if YOU'RE reading this I KNOW who YOU ARE!

Ok, granted I will own up to the fact that I typically turn a relatively innocent thread into a battle now and again, but someone needs to spice this place up a bit....geesh. Besides that, it's interesting that people tend to respond more often to heated debates than boring threads that everyone pretty much agrees with, a debate is far more interesting and allows for emotion to shine through.

That's why names like Spanky and Lex come up so often.

Now you see why some though you and Lex were the same person. You joined (the first time) just as Lex was removed.

No, remember I'm Lex! :out: LOL!

Like Kexodusc, I have my own suspicions that Lex is still with us but if I'm right, he's been a pretty good boy so far so no need to out him. Anyway, I could be wrong.

Yes! my money would be on Herson...i just don't think vitriolic lunacy is any match for outright stubborn idiocy...if they are two people. We need a match up poll...

The match you'd most like to see

    Hersh vs pix
    Lex vs PS
I'd pay money to see Flo go at it with SVI again...
RL could go at it with anyone in a charity match.

    more?

    RIch,

I want to post pictures from my trip on here, but there is one small problem...they are high resolution images and it won't let me post images that large, when I try to scale them down it defeats the picture quality in such a way that you would think I was taking them with a Fisher Price camera.

I've recently been uploading all of the pictures I've got of my car, HT, family and eBay items to my Photobucket account because I can no longer trust my home computer. It's become very unstable recently, and I'm getting ready to replace it, hard drives and all. The nice thing about P Bucket is it'll generate HTML tags and clickable images that can be inserted onto message boards simply by selecting the photo then clicking the "Generate HTML and IMG Code" button. My pics are maximum 5 Megapixel. Your results may vary.

Ooooh, now that's a great idea. I thought about doing this, but didn't have any websites in mind that I heard good things from. I'll look into it!!

Lex, if YOU'RE reading this I KNOW who YOU ARE!

Lex got into other meltdowns as well on some Honda message board, but the admins were totally onto him and abused him like it was a spectator sport.

IIRC, the all-time Lex meltdown was the Star Wars Ep. III thread. That's the only thread ever on this board I can remember that got so ugly that the admins deleted the entire thing. Lex got into a whole series of bizarre tangents about raping people's mothers, among other unsavory subjects, just so he could avoid answering queries about his purported published reviews, industry connections, and "professional" credentials. At that point, several of us were counting down how long it would take for him to get suspended, but surprisingly he got by until his plagiarizing finally did him in.

But, as Kex and JSE have already stated, Lex's presence still lingers on this board in one form or another, just as it had even before the Lex persona came along.

P.S. For those newbies wondering what the hell everyone's talking about, here are a few starter threads to give you a bit 'o the ole flava ...

    Lex's "worst sequel" meltdown
    http://forums.audioreview.com/steel-cage/rga-vs-lexmark-worst-sequel-all-time-12993.html

The infamous Gladiator thread, where Lex accuses JSE (and everyone else who'd caught onto Lex's fakery) of stalking
    http://forums.audioreview.com/favorite-films/gladiator-signature-selection-dreamworks-universal-13393.html

And the infamous "concert DVD" thread where Lex got caught in multiple lies (including his usual denial of having any previous screen names) and did his usual spin-cycle response

Those past Lex threads just never get old. Man, we were brutal to that guy! Me, You and Sir T could set him off in two seconds. I always kindof felt bad for the guy but it was fun watching him spiral down the drain in just about every thread he participated in. I would hold back at times (believe it or not) but he brought it upon himself with his outright lies about every aspect of his being. He was a Fraud in every way and it was proven in the end. I think we was banned from just about every site he was a member of in the span of a day or two.
