    Identity Theft Stealing Mother&!%$*#@!!!

    I'm PISSED!

Some lowlifes broke into all of the mail boxes in our neighborhood sometime within the last 24 hours and stole everyone's mail. We have community boxes in my neighborhood and unfortunately, it only takes a screwdriver to force them open. After talking with my neighbor, who's a cop, about the best thing to do, he recommended signing up for a credit monitoring service such as Experian and calling all of my credit cards to put a flag on them for suspicious charges.

My first call was to Capital One. I only have two Visas, both with Cap One, and my business cc bill goes to my office. Lo and behold, Cap One, had already detected fraud! Thankfully, they recognized it and put a hold on it. Less than a day, that's all it took those bastards.

Now I have to cancel all of my cards and wait for new ones !!!

    Auuughh!

It sucks, but if your financial institution is a good one, it's only a temporary inconvenience. I had great luck with my bank.

Sorry to here about this Speedy. I guess it was your turn. I had good luck with my banks. They were the ones who called me to ask if I had made like 8 charges in a couple of hours. I was never even charged for it and had new cards in hand in less than a week.

    D@m Christmas killers!

    Merry F&%@ing Christmas, eh.

That stinks. I heard about two other office thefts yesterday. One in our downtown office and another in an office building next to the one that I work in (same guy who tried to rob me, maybe?). I am sooooo not in the Christmas spirit anymore. People suck.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Speedy. I think that your cop neighbour's advice is good advice. After my near loss this week, I'm already looking into similar services.

    Thanks guys.

I needed to vent last night. This little mishap has definitely taken a bit of the shine off the holiday season for me. That, and for some unknown reason, my brother-in-law decided to have my nephew's 7th birthday party today.

Naturally, he lives over an hour away from us and we'll also be spending Christmas at their house.

    In two days.

    Again.

Did I mention his actual birthday was in October?

Maybe you should tell your brother that you're not celebrating Christmas until February.

What kind of family doesn't celebrate their son's birthday until two months later? Unless he was in a coma...
