First concert

What was your first concert. Well the first one i remember was Nov. of 70 at Anaheim,Ca. Grand Funk Railroad. Pretty good for a first date with my wife.

1986 Motley Crue- Theater Of Pain Tour. After that concert the only pain I felt was my ears, they were ringing for days. But how was I to know it would be so loud, it was my first concert.

1986- Ozzy Osbourne's Ultimate Sin tour. Metallica opened for their Master of Puppets tour. I got to see Cliff befoe he died.

Wow! I just looked this up on metallica.com and they actually have the dates. I either went June 13, 14, or 15!

1984, Aerosmiths' reunion tour at the Cleveland Colisium. Triumph opened.

I was lucky enough to sit with what I thought at the time were "old" hippies.

Wow, I am almost scarred to admit this on this board but.............

When I was very little, 7 to 10 maybe, my parents took me with them and friends to see the Bee Gees (twice), Neil Diamond, and John Denver. And dammit, Neil was awesome! There, I said it. It's out there. You can make fun of me but I will always have the memory of that show and no one can take it away from me. Ha!

I guess the first concert I went to of my own will was a two headliner show with Cheap Trick and Nightranger at A&M in College Station, Tx. Very cool.

Since then, to many to count.

BeeGee's are hot. My friend was in vegas with his parents when he was preteen. He said they were walking through a casino and heard Elvis singing and went over and they watched for a few minutes. He still says that had more electricity and power{as in performance} then any other concert he had been to.

I went to see Kiss in 1974. They weren't bad, but the warm up band smoked them.

My very first concert was at a local college and I saw Maria Muldaur with Tom Rush as the opening act. It was during Maria's Midnight At The Oasis fame. It was a great concert and I have enjoyed and bought everything by her ever since. She is still one of my favorite singers.

Man, I can't remember

It may have been Journey with Loverboy and Bryan Adams opening in the early '80's. I dunno. After so many concerts over so many years, it's hard to keep them all straight.

If you like Kiss you should listen to their Kiss Syphony DVD .One great concert .

I wasn't much of a Kiss fan. All my friends were and I wanted to see a concert. The warm up band (Rush) turned out to be my all time fav.

Rush was a great Canadian band .The lead signer as a great voice.

They are unbelievable. It's hard to imagine that 3 people could make so much sound. And since I was a huge Sci-fi fan, they fit in perfect to my life. I have seen them many times over the years.

Yeah that was awesome. 1976, back when Aerosmith's music didn't suck (sorry fellas, they were better when they were on drugs and fighting). I believe Styx was the opening act.

I got that line from Burt Reynold while he was sitting in a round table discussion (couple of years ago) with some of his old buddies and couple of young country singers. One of the young singer was talking about his experiences, and Burt layed out that line on him. Very memorable moment

That's cool, but how long have you been wearing those socks? Are they the kind that when you take them off, and throw them at the wall, they stck there? If you come back in an hour they are still there? 2 hours later they are still on the wall, but a foot higher?

First concert was Led Zeppelin in Berlin 72 or 73. What an initiation to Rock music.I wasn't allowed to go- too young. Saved money,bought ticket told a white lie went to the gig and promptley forgot to budget for the trip home. Had to walk and my mother waited as I crept in at 4.30 in the morning. Now she was tripping.
Best concert-tough one. Four contenders. The Waterboys on St.Patricks day 1989 in Manchester,or Pink Floyd doing the Wall in Dortmund or Bruce Springsteen 2003 in Manchester or Live Aid at Wembley Stadium and many more. How do you choose.

But without a doubt the best festival I have been to was the US83 in California. A four day
celebration of massive proportions and superb music. I was very fortunate to have been there.
