All joking aside. That really sucks that you can't put a drainage pipe in your driveway because of the city's dumb road construction and the city won't lift a finger to help you.

Well, at least you have those lovely carved trees to look at. It must be nice to know that your tax dollars are being spent so wisely.

Well, that was paid for privately. The guy across the street from me owns about 10% of the town. He had it done to about 6 trees that were all on his property. They kind of mark out his little territory of town surrounding his restaurant and cluster of small nick-knack shops.

Pile up sandbags, redirecting the water...if water isn't a problem to them, then the sandbags won't be a problem either. If they don't think its their problem, they won't act...so, make it their problem.

The sad part is that before we moved in, they had to dig up the road to run a water line to our house. They could have put the drainage pipe in at that time but didn't think of it. Now they claim that they can't put a pipe in because they may hit the water line.
