We may think its funny, but in Iraq that is regarded as an enormous insult. Remember when that statue of Saddam Hussein was pulled down, and people started beating it with the soles of their shoes? Showing someone the sole of your shoe is regarded as an insult.

The funny part of this is that it is an enormous insult. The idea of it being a insult is not lost on us. We here could never do such a thing even if we wanted to. I have seriously wanted to, but would never even try to do such a thing. Bush deserved this big time. His smug, irrogant attitude needs a sole beating, and I hope when he leaves office humility will find it's way into that wicked heart of his.
