Any College Football fans out there?

Yes, boys and girls, it's almost that time...
    The days become shorter...
    The colors become more vivid...
The faint odor of a completely demoralized and dismantled rival wafts gently on a passing breeze...

    It's football time! Hallelujah!!!

Any projections? Who's your team? Who's the sleeper this year? Will the Sooners still be feeling the aftermath of last year's collapse? What's your take?

As for me, I'm a cautiously optomistic Trojan. Let's face it, the Pac 10 is a joke with only one real challenger, Cal (my choice for "sleeper" even though they are highly ranked). Tedford has done a helluva job and for some reason, his schemes give our defense absolute fits! That team has scared the bejeezus out of me since he got there. Now before you proclaim me a front-runner, understand I was a fan even as my guys essentially stunk-up the joint throughout the '90's. I waited a loooooong time for another championship.

Other teams? Florida could be better than people think, Notre Dame will have a new coach at season's end, and Miami will be, well, Miami.

I like some of the cheerleaders!

Beyond that, I haven't followed sports much for decades.

Oh, yeah! College football is king here in Alabama. I'm an Alabama fan. We've had some tough times as of late, but things are starting to pick up. Bama is bowl elligilbe and has a much needed favorable non-conference schedule. Teams to look out for are LSU, Florida and probably Florida State. (I'm not allowed to mention Auburn and refuse to mention Tennessee.)

FSU fan here. Looks like the ACC is the toughest conference now, especially with the additions of Miami and Virginia Tech. The FSU/Miami game could easily determine who represents the ACC in the BCS (or should that be BS?).

BCS is definitely BS, just look at last year's split title.

VT could be in trouble with Vick gone. We play them in our opener...at night...at Tech. Me? Worried? Where's that drink!!!
