Am I The Most Hopeless Romantic?
I've Got A Hero Complex
I've been playing videogames
Ever since I was a kid
Rescue the damsel in distress
From some sticky mess
If I was Superman
I'd just want to be Clark Kent
Playing Dungeons and Dragons
And other videogames
I did it all to get the girl
A hopeless romantic looking for
Much more than a peck on the cheek
These electric lies play tricks on my eyes
Making me believe
That I have to slay a dragon
Just to be your man
Don't mind me
I've just got a Hero Complex
And if you would try and rescue me
The only thing more frightening
Than making love to you
Would be a Lesbian Vampire scene
Getting down to business hot and heavy
She starts to suck..... your blood
Rescue me
Rescue Me

Nine of them are complete and the other one will probably be completed today. I had this idea to write somewhat of a concept album in lyrics based around the events of the last week and upcoming weeks leading up to my 32nd birthday. I have a working title called Ten Songs To Describe One Moment In Time. My friends plan on taking me to a gentlemens club and for a hopeless romantic such as myself that could be very interesting. At the same time my friend is introducing me to a girl he has known for years who he has been feeding my romanticism for the past year while she was away in college. We hung out in a bar the other day and I didn't get her phone number. That started me down this reflective road.
Should I post them all?
Thanks so much for the feedback. I really appreciate it. That one is one of the more lighthearted pieces. I get way more romantic. What would you expect from somebody who lives on a street called Ovid?
