Bye Bye Sony Walkman. Thanks for all the good times.

Sony announced that it has ceased production of cassette Walkmans, first introduced in 1979.

Wow I thought the Walkman and the Discman were in a museum somewhere. Just goes to show.

It must be time to start buying more cassette tapes.

So now will they be coveted as "vintage"? I think I wil start scouring thrift shops just in case. Oh look at that, first shop I went in and I now have 15 Walkmans...I'm rich!!

I still have a working FM only model from early 80s.

I was so excited when i finally got a walkman with a 3 band graphic equalizer...put my other ones to shame.

So long Walkman. What's next Sony? Got any improvements on the Ipod, MP3 etc....?
