AMEX DIGITAL Introduces Worlds First Blu-ray disc recorder AV Center

Wow, does this look cool. It's an HTPC with not just a Blu-Ray player, but it's a RECORDER as well! In addition, it's got some seriously killer specs:

    • Intel® Core 2 Duo 64bit Processor
    • 4GB DDR2 RAM
    • 1.5TB (SATA Supported) Hard Disk Drive
    • Integrated ATI X1600 with Full HD 1080P HDMI out
    • Dual Hybrid digital TV turner with PIP (Picture in Picture)
    • $2,000 and they even throw in a free Blu-Ray disc of your choice!
    • 100/1000 Base-T LAN and 802.11bg Wi-Fi networking
    • Microsoft® Windows® Multimedia Centre Edition 2005

Incredible! I would love to have one of these. It brings up a couple questions for me though:
    • Can you record HD into it? can I get HD content from my Comcast cable box onto this thing?
    • A very compelling product like this makes the format war all the more obnoxious - who knows who's going to win? I'm not going to commit on a device like this until there is some certainty about the next gen formats.
    • On the subject of the format war, how modular is this thing? Could the BD drive be replaced with an HD-DVD drive?
    • I haven't actually used MS Media Center, but I'm a bit skeptical about it..
