    Convert VGA to DVI??

    Can this be done?

I have a DVI cable going to my projector, and I'd like to get the VGA adapter for my Xbox 360. Should this be as simple as getting a VGA-DVI adapter to interface them? I know that a computer with a DVI output works fine with a VGA monitor with a simple $2 adapter which is why I'm thinking it might work, but I know this is a different case.

Well I guess it can't be done. I used one of those adapters and plugged directly into the projector (360 VGA to adapter then to DVI on projector) and it does not work. Any ideas why? The DVI input on the projector is actually labeled DVI/VGA/SCART so I thought it might would have worked since it obviously not a VGA interface so it would have to go through an adapter.

If it written DVI-I then it will work otherwise not. As DVI-I is DVI Intregarted with analog and digital and it accept both the signal coming from digital and coming from analog.

If yours is written is DVI-D then you are out of luck.

    Good luck.
