Yamaha HT receiver with HK Power amp?

I have a Yamaha HTR-5280 (2001) 100wattx5channel HT receiver,would i be gaining anything by pre-outing to a HK PA2000 100wattx2channel amp to run my two front main speakers?Thanks for any advice,Keith...

Perhaps a marginal improvement on the peaks, but nothing to get overly excited about. Remember, the powered sub does most of the heavy lifting on those things and frees up the mains for everything else.

If you've got all the stuff already, why not give it a try? I could be wrong.
