Where to put center channel? Suggestions?
I was hoping someone here might have some good creative suggestions on finding a place to put my new Paradigm reference center channel addition to my home theater system. I currently have a 50" DLP (Samsung) sitting on a Bello furniture/stand. One possibility would be to have a shelf added to the wall behind the TV, just above the top of the TV, and set the speaker on that. This would probably look good but requires a lot of work, including finding and mounting an appropriate shelf, running wire behind the drywall, etc. Another possibility would be to have the speaker on the TV stand itself, but because of the height of the speaker, I would have to raise the TV somehow (i.e. a stand on a stand). I'm not sure if this could be done and look good. The old school way with my old TV was just to put the center channel on top of the TV, which looked fine, but this doesn't work with the DLP TV because it doesn't have a flat top on which the speaker can sit (but perhaps there is a tasteful bracket out there of some kind designed for this purpose?). Any and all suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!
