Recommend for 800$ range LCD- hopefully with new tech.

I am looking of buying an lcd for around 800.00. I will like to find one that has semi new technology or possibly the latest technology. So far these two have been recommended to me.
Panasonic TC-23LX50 or the JVC LT23X576
Any other suggestions?
