What do I need to hook VCR adn DVD to speaker?
We have DVD and seperate VCR and want to hook up speakers, will be keeping our stereo and TV seperate so kids can watch TV and we can listen to stereo and not listen to their movies, what is a frugal but good choice?

    At the same time?
A dual zone receiver, probably a seperate stereo amp, and most certainly a second set of speakers. ...oh, and some wiring.

You're better off getting the kids a standalone TV with a DVD/VCR built in.

Your question - the way it's worded does not provide enough information to enable anyone to give you any sort of constructive reply ... sorry 'bout that.

    Questions (for YOU):

    1. You say - " ... will be keeping our stereo and TV separate". So, are they separate now? In different rooms? Is there only one TV set in the house? What do the kids watch ... broadcast TV? Videotapes? DVDs?

    2. If there's only one TV in the house - and the stereo is in the same room, do they have to remain that way?

    3. What is your present "stereo"? What does it consist of?

Answer these Qs and maybe - just maybe - we'll be able to help you.
