    Lightbulb A/V furniture

I'm having problems finding A/V furniture that my wife will like. I need some ideas. My AV problem is that my center speaker is fairly large (9.5"Hx24"Wx13"D, 35 lbs) and the TV is one of those heavy Sony 32" trinitrons with the flat screen (~200 lbs). I need something substantial AND many of the things I'm finding with a shelf for a center below the TV only have 8.5" height. I need something functional.

For esthetics and small children, we can't just go for the open rack look. Need something with doors, not necessarily for the TV, but for the AV equip (4-5 units). and storage.

Needs to look like furniture (wood) and not college student decor.

Any suggestions? Anyone have something they like? Link?

    Thanks

    Hey Noddin,

Audioadvisor.com has a lot of nice looking av furniture. You might try giving them a look:

Good links, thanks! I was browsing Salamander's web site. Their Synergy line (sold at audioadvisor and others) looks pretty good. The prices would suggest they are well built. Does anyone own this furniture? The customization options are very tempting. How is the finish. We have a fair amount of natural wood in our home, we'd like to avoid anything to veneer-y. Any testimonials?

As I tend to occupy my leisure hours in my bedroom, I resolved to make it a cozier place. I planned on purchasing various bedroom adornments and fresh pillows, but I was at a loss as to where to procure them. It took me a considerable amount of time to locate a suitable store until a friend recommended the 1StopBedrooms Website. My friend's suggestion turned out to be sound, as the website has received a wealth of positive feedback and customers are exceedingly pleased with the items they offer.
