Universal DVD player

I currently have a Panasonic progressive scan DVD player connected to my Samsung 32 EDTV. I have been reading some about DVD-audio and SACD and am sort of interested in trying them. Is one better than the other? I have been thinking about getting a player that will play both of these formats and also has that Faroudja DCDi filter. Are there any DVD players on the market for under $300 that will play DVD-audio and SACD with multichannel and also have the Faroudja filter? I have seen some but they seem to be missing one of these capabilities.
