So, I'm really loving my new t.v. I bought the Toshiba 51H84, even though I had seen some scary reviews about incidents with the set popping, with the picture dropping out for a fraction of a second. This was within days or weeks of purchase. A couple of people said that, finally, it didn't come back on at all. Wasn't too worried, as many different RPTVs get bad write ups for different reasons, and there's always the possibility of buying a lemon.
Well, It happened to me the first week, and I just blamed on bad cable reception. Today, for the first time, it happened while watching a DVD. I've had it for a little over two weeks! I do have a two year service plan, which means it will sit in a selected repair shop for an uncertain amount of time. Rex (the dealer i bought it from) doesn't have an in-house service department. My question is, do I take it back for another? Is it too late to do it? Or do I just wait and see, cross my fingers, and hope it keeps chugging along?
