tv out

i am trying to get my tv working with full screen on the tv so it looks like my monitor does.

running
Video: ViewSonic VP201b 20"lcd on computer
Video card BFG nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra

for now i am useing s-video

with the nvida drivers i can do "clone" mode , but for tv out the highest res i can set it to is . 1024 x 768
when i ahve it set liek this the screen scrools up n down a bit i cant get it full screen

if iu set it to "dual mode" i dont get the icons and start button , taskbar on the tv side but i can set a coustom resolution .


any idea how to get it working at all ?


also i will be getting a cable soon , wonder if i should go dvi or vga cable , i tried a test and both looke dgreat on the tv nice n clear can read all text ect.. problem is i need a 40 foot cable and am windering about signal loss.
