I was also considering buying a DVD-audio or SACD capable DVD player, but I think I wait until digital output from those formats are ironed out between manufacture and music industry

I thought the digital output couldn't handle the bandwidth of SACD? I read somewhere that was the reason for not being able output the signal via digital...didn't make sense to me though.
