    Question surround speaker wire

hey at the moment i'm running 16awg speaker wire for the surround speakers. On the left speaker its running about 12m of wire and the right is running around 8 meters. My question is , is it worth running say.... 9-14awg wire for the surrounds, will it give better results?

    Probably not.

I strongly doubt you are experiencing any audiable signal degradation but if the opportunity arises, 12 gauge seems to be pretty much the standard though.

I think 16ga wire is usually fine for just about any setup (IMO). Your surround
speakers have pretty long runs (12 and 8 meters). You might notice a slight
improvement if you run 14ga., anything larger (ga) will probably be a waste.
