    DVI Vs. Component Video

Which should i go with, i have HD Programming from my local Cable company and was wondering if i need to buy a DVI cable or will the Component video cables suit just fine? My tv is a 47'' widescreen Samsung CRT Projection. Thank you and Happy Holidays

I don't know what model Samsung you have. I'll take your word that it has a DVI rather than an HDMI input. Your TV is unlikely to be suffering from any picture-quality deficiencies through component connection. On that level, you can spare yourself the trouble of buying a new cable. But keep in mind that somewhere down the line, a digital connection, with HDCP, may become necessary with certain HD transmissions--whether via television broadcast or hi def disk. I wouldn't worry about it for the time being.
