No major companies are putting much time and effort into CRTs these days, let alone standard-definition ones. Sony recently announced conntinued commitment to its HD CRT, but if you're considering an NTSC set for a couple of hundred bucks, find the best deal. B why not see if you can get a Sony HD XBR from a year or two back? It really will be a more satisfactory purchase--assuming that you have your heart set on a CRT.
