Samsung LN40A550 & HDMI Input Source

I watch Digital Cable on my Samsung LN40A550 via HDMI 1 to view the HD channels. I noticed after turning the TV off, when I turn in back on it does NOT default to the HDMI source that I had selected at the time it was turned off. I have to re-select HDMI 1 each time I turn it on. Is this normal behavior for this particular set?

Please disregard my original post. The TV is fine. I was using a Logitech Harmony 550 Remote with the TV. During the setup process you tell the remote what input you want when it turns everything on. The default setup is TV Tuner and I forgot to tell it HDMI input. When I turn the TV on using the TV's remote it comes on to the last selected input as it should. DUH! ;-)
