Receiver and room size? Room size has nothing to do with what receiver you buy. Most generaly you buy a receiver for the options and amplification. Now speakers have more to do with room size.

ok cool i just wasnt sure ,
my speakers are rated at only around 89db sensitivity so i thought i would go with the 2500 to give them a kick up the ass so to speak.
