I am in the process of shopping around for a 50" plasma TV. I have found that Pioneer would be the best quality-wise to get. I have read great reviews for the 5070- some of these reviews were from the later in the year but I was wondering if the system and technology as a whole may be a lil outdated. Now the difference in price between the 2 is about 1k so I dont think i can spend that on the 5080 but wondered how big of a difference is between both models, any opinions?

Also, can you recommend any other 50" plasmas with as good quality, etc
