    Receiver help

I currently have the Onkyo TXSV 525 but it recently went into a protection mode that i can't get it out of. Is there any way to fix this problem?? If not what would be a new model comparable to this one in this brand or another???

    thanks

Just to be sure, recheck your speaker connections. A short can cause this. And I've also found that moving equipment (and cats!) can cause unexpected shorts as well.

Excessive humidity and moisture will also cause this. If the machine has just been moved from a cold to a warm room will also cause condensation that will shut it down. If that is a possibilty, time will dry it out.

there is no consumer level "fix" it has to be factory reset( unless someone knows a better way). The comparable model is txsr503, $300.00
