    Nad T742, Marantz 4200, HK AVR5550, Denon 1804

Im looking at upgrading from my Denon AVR 1603 and these are the receivers i am looking at, they are arranged in the title in order of price if that helps at all, though that HK one is a refurbished one thats almost half price.
Can anyone give me their opinions on these.
    Thankyou

What's wrong with your 1803? You do realize that the 1804 isn't really an upgrade, but merely an incremental addition of a feature or so in the next model year.

That's like trading in a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis for a 2004 Grand Marquis. Same unit, only a year newer and you pay again for depreciation. Next year, another "new" version of the same unit.

In such case, I'd save my $$ for a REAL upgrade.

I dont have an 1803 i have a 1603, either way that denon is really on the bottom of my list as an upgrade option as bother NAD and HK are high current. plus one of my major upgrade preferences is pre-outs, so that i can upgrade easily.
