    If SVS is so great, Why aren't they listed??

    I just purchased HomeTheaters buyers guide. When browsing the Subwoofer section
    I noticed SVS is not even listed. I know they are a popular brand on alot of forums,
    but it seems odd that a major magazine would not list them. HSU was listed by the way.
    Any theories?

    They don't advertise and/or they haven't released any new products in a while.

    Magazines in general tend to focus more on brands that you can buy in stores. SVS is a mail order sub and has not been around as long as Hsu. I'm sure that the guide you refer to doesn't have anything listed for Adire Audio or Dayton/Parts Express either, even though those names are also frequently recommended on this and other boards.
