questions on rat shack spl meter
I was wondering if people generally use the common correction values found online. I'm using it to eq my sub, and was going to use the correction values, but I heard that the values found online are not really accurate for the meters in general. Also, I've heard of a simple mod that makes it more accurate, anyone know?

I heard that too but cannot put my finger on it :)

Without some correction table, you are lost as the meter is not that accurate and you have no way of knowing what it needs. The correction chart floating around may be of some value.
Unless you can have yours calibrated?

The only question is if the new looking meter, even though it carries the same number, is unmodified from th eprevious one.
