    THX matching a big deal??

I am considering purchasing a used set of M&K speakers that are THX Select certified (750's for L,C,R and 550's for the rears). I currently have a 4 year old Onkyo receiver (474, 55 watts x 5). My concerns are these: the M&K 750's are a 4 ohm speaker and I'm worried about my receiver being able to drive this system, which brings me to my next question about THX, if I bought a THX certified receiver, what exactly would I gain other than the added power (obviously) and new features all the new receivers have??

From what i've read, THX doesn't maen anything. The companies purchase the right, if there components are good enough, to slap that on their product. Soem companies do it, some don't, some have, some no longer.

Matching THX is not needed. Put together what u think sounnds good.
