    Question about Sony Receiver?
    Does anyone know if this model upconverts a Component IN to the HDMI out?
    Or is the HDMI out only a pass-thru for the HDMI in?

    It will only switch video signals, will not upconvert them.

    So I can have the component IN and HDMI IN and only one HDMI out? I don't need to run the hdmi out and component out separately?

    I f you have a component and hdmi source then you must run cables for both.
