Promonitor 1000 or ML Motion 4

I am looking for a pair of small speakers to function as TV speakers for my new Samsung 55" TV so I don't have to use my HT every time I want to watch TV. I have narrowed it down to the Martin Logan Motion 4's which have excellent detail, voice quality and a very small foot print. Bass lacks a little bit but it is there. The Def Tech Promonitor 1000's are a little larger have excellent bass for a small speaker and a warmer sound but detail and clarity is not quite as good as the ML's but it is still excellent. I was wondering if any one has either of these speakers and can give some input. I will not be using them with a sub or part of a HT system, they will be hooked up to a cheap pioneer VSX515 AVR. I will be using them instead of one of the crappy sound bars that are out there.
