What kind of movie makes you tick?

What kind of movie do you go out for? What makes you shell out the cash for a DVD? Do you go for the girly, make me cry chick flicks? Or do you prefer the manly, kickem' in the face adventure type? You can vote for as many as you like, but try to stick to your favorites.

It's hard to pick just one! Chick-flicks is about the only category that's not worth buying a DVD. Anything else is fair game

For instance, I just got the new edtion of Shawshank Redemption, Toy Story, and Star Wars Ep. 3 all at the same time..that about covers all of them.

But I also just picked up Club Dread from the $5 bin at Walmart...YOU LEFT OUT COMEDY!!!

Go Run, Head for tha Choppa!!!

I picked action, adventure, sci-fi and animation. 90% of my clollection is probably action, but I think action and adventure go hand in hand. You can't go wrong with animation. Finding Nemo, Toy Story, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, some of the best stories and soundtracks out there. Sci-fi. Yes, sometimes it's fun to get lost in the unbelievable.

Chick Flick!! Come on guys, if you're married you know good N well you gotta couple of wifee movies laying around.

God, the gamut of movies that "make me tick" is not really limited to a a particular genre. GOOD movies are in ALL the catagories. I watch a particular genre depending upon my mood. But here are some of my top pics from each genre.

Comedy / Romance: As Good As It Gets

Comedy Drama: O' Brother Where Art Thou...and any other Cohen Brother's comedy, Friday (with Chris Tucker), Trading Places.

Horror: Evil Dead (1 & 2), Hell Raiser (1&2 & frequently shown in HD on VOOM), Mary Shelly's Frankenstien, Interview With The Vampire, Night of the Demons

Action: Terminator (1&2 which I own in HD-DVHS)

Sci-Fi: Pitch Black, Star Wars (III & IV)

Drama: ALL the Godfather series, but Godfather Part II is special, Gladiator, Once Upon a Time In America

Western: The Unforgiven, The Shootist, The Good, Bad & the Ugly, Once Upon A Time in the West

As you can see my taste is eclectic, and varies upon my mood, the time of day I watch the movie, the weather, and this list in no way represents ALL my favorite movies, but rather a "thumb nail" version of some of my favorites.

Thanks, I agree. I did set this poll up so you could vote for more than one. But I don't think you can go back after you voted to add on.
    Oh well, next time.
    Thanks again for your input.

I like a good war movie, but anything with action is fun. Sci-Fi's are pretty big these days. Don't see many clever drama's anymore. Too bad.

Can I watch it with the sound off? Or better yet, with the CD playing instead?
Oops, did I say that out loud? Shame on me.
