    Pionneer DVD Players & DVD+R / DVD+RW

I realize that none of any single Pioneer DVD player - regular & Ellite - can playback
    DVD+R and DVD+RW ! Does anybody know why ?

Mine do (DV-45A and DV-353 - both from 2002) but my DVD burner drive is also a Pioneer so maybe that's why? My friend has a Sony dual layer writer and my DVD players have no problem with +R/+RW burned on that computer either.

The Pioneer will definitely play DVD+R no long as it's burned right. Perhaps that's your problem?

I also have the Dv 45a and a older 525 they both play my burned DVD's. What I do it test my burned DVD's on all the systems in my house even the PS2 to make sure I have complete compatibility.
