Sounds like it is begging for it's life,no really most recievers have a protection circuit that will shut it off when the volumn is to high.I do not know this machine so i don't know how loud 65 is,has it always done this or did it just start? Need more info, but thats what it sounds like if it shuts off at the same level everytime.

Those numbers are somewhat arbitrary and just because 65 is a little over 1/2 way up does not necessarily mean its a little over half volumn. How large is your room? If its big it might be a problem.Does it happen with movies and 2 channel stereo?

What kind of speakers are you pushing? Most recievers a "little over half" is actually like plugging your cd player directly into an amp and playing it.
Probably shutting down because of protection circuitry to keep from frying the tweets do to clipping

Sounds like it's either being driven too hard or you have some speakers shorting out.
