new tv, but not lcd, what to get?

i need to get a new tv, BUT
i hate artifacts and i hate lcd
    mostly because of the artifacts
but also because I stare at one
    8 hours a day

    after searching the forums
it sounds like i should get into lcos
    seems pretty expensive
    is there an entry-level option
    maybe a computer multimedia projector
    that does pretty well?

    i went into belmont tv
    and looked at their plasmas
    they didnt look too bad
im thinking i can live with that
didnt like the dlps or lcds

anything else i should be looking at?

    want current technology
    not good at fixing things
    my flat crt is dying

My choice is LCoS, but Sony and JVC have quit making them, so my next choice is an LED DLP Samsung. Mainly because it is about all that's left, that fits my size requirement (60" - 70"), at a reasonable cost. I'd go with LCD, if I could get my size, at a decent price, but that's not gonna happen any time soon. Samsung has a 70" LCD, but the price is $40,000.

I can't stand the reflective screen of a plasma, so one will not be in my house, unless someone gives me one for free. I refuse to spend good money on one..........
    Good luck!

it looks like some of the olevia
    rear projection teevees
    are lcos
which isnt exactly the same as
    lcd
    its subtractive instead
so that might actually be a good suggestion

what i dont like about lcd?
    harsh
    usually artifacty
but that could be set up

i will try and see an olevia
    thanks
