New CD formats do they play on 5.1 HTS?

Can someone illuminate me here. On super audio CD's, will you hear surround sound on all the speakers on a DVD/receiver with 5.1 surround sound or do you need a seperate super audio CD player?

You need a seperate SACD player, and you need a receiver with multi channel input.
