    CPR for my TV !!

    Did my TV blow up?

I live in a building in Manhattan. In July, we had a big T-storm. The day after, my TV (10yrs old, big heavy Mitsubishi model) stopped working. When I turn it on [switch or remote control], the tv keeps switching on/off. Impossible to leave it on. on/off, on/off, on/off.... Nothing I can do.
Does anyone know what's going on?
    Is it easily repairable?
All the other components [dvd, mini stereo,...] are plugged on the same outlet and they seem fine.
I thought about a power surge during the storm migh have hit the unit but not sure if that's a possibility.
Well, any info/opinion/advice will be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks.

Did the TV work right after the storm? If so, would be hard to blame a spike, though not impossible, since damage to a board from lightning can show up later. I assume that the only way you can stop the TV from the on/off cycle is to unplug it and that afterward it stays off until you push the button again. If you're lucky, the power switch is bad. If you're unlucky, the sky's the limit.
