Hello everyone glad to be aboard and be able to read and respond to some of your threads.

I also have a question, where have all the Dolby-Digital Ready Receivers gone?

Sometime in may of this year I lost my Yamaha receiver to a lightning strike in
my area. I have a power surge protector (Panamax) but apparently this could not
stop a strike of that magnitude.

Anyway the reason for my question is that I have a Yamaha DPP-1 AC-3 Processor
and I would really hate to have to lose my Processor because I cannot find another Dolby-Digital Ready Receiver.

Any suggestions?

I have already attempted to have my receiver repaired but I have blown too many I.C. chips
so they told me it wasn't worth fixing.
