    Hdmi 1.4?
    Exacty how far do they plan on developing HDMI? I hear version 1.4 components are on their way to market. What's next?

    Supposedly, these are the improvements over 1.3x:

    • 3D Over HDMI
    • Ethernet Channel
    • Audio Return Channel
    • 4k × 2k Resolution Support

    I think they have covered about 10-20 years of future video developments with just these upgrades. HDMI 1.3 already has the audio side pretty much covered.

    Have you seen how cheap the Samsung plasmas are? Kick in another $100.00 and get a larger screen with unquestionable great PQ. There was a LG 42" LED really cheap as well. These are things my friend sent me as he was searching for his recent TV purchase. He ended up with a Samsung plasma but got the model around $595.00.
