    H/k Standby!
    In the process of reconnecting cables after adding a Tivo recorder, I somehow prompted by Harman Kardon AVR 510 reciever/amp to go into permanent standby mode. Any suggestions on how I might "unfreeze" it from standby mode?

    yes, you can reset the processor
    by holding down two buttons for a few seconds. Sorry i cannot recall which two buttons. Refer to your owner's manual. You can also call HK directly or download your model's manual in .pdf format from their website. This should reset all setting to factory and solve your problem.
