    DVI or Component?
To the normal eye, is there a clean cut difference in video between the DVI and Component connections?

You mean CRTs? As opposed to something like plasma?

I'm new to the forums, but I've been around computers for a while. Allow me to s'plain:

Fixed-pixel = Plasma, LCD, LCD projection, DLP projection.
(where the display pixels are a grid of acutal, physical cubes that flick on and off)

Not fixed-pixel = CRT, CRT Projetion.
(display is made of an aperature grille, hit by scanning guns to create a picture, where resolution is how ever many lines the gun is told to shoot)
