    Does a front projector like Infocus 4805 need a progressive scan DVD player..
    .. for the best picture?

    If it can display it then yes, you should also use a progressive DVDE player for best results.

    I have a Pioneer that was $400. dealer cost. Bought a Panisonic for $60.00 w/progressive scan. I always use the Pan. with my projector(Infocus). Much better!!!

    Thank you.. I hooked up the projector
    to my good old Toshiba SD-1200 and the image is gorgeous on a 72" screen. I wouldn't be able to handle my joy if the picture is any better!! :)
