denon DRA 1000 to Sony bravia kdl42w654

    Hi everyone,
    i've recently bought a hi-fi set counting a Denon Dra-1000 receiver\amplifier, a Denon DCD685 and a pair of audiovector c2 speakers.
I'd like to connect, if possible, the TV to the amplifier.
The TV has, as the only non digiatal Audio-out the 3,5mm Jack, that on the manual is described as both Jack and Audio-out.

I also have an hdmi only audio exit and a digital optical cable, for a Toslink cable.

The setup (i am totally ignorant on hifi connection) would consist of the tv not using the rather crappy inbuilt speakers but the Audiovector speakers.
Is it possible to use the 3,5mm jack in order to achieve a good connection? Or i need to use one of the 2 hdmi port (or the Hdmi audio only port available), use a converter to RCA?

    Tv connection available:

    amplifier

Unfortunately i cannot still try the connections, since i dont have the ampli still delivered.

Oh and btw i would like to jack my mp3 player to the ampli into the tape Pb, but maybe this is the wrong place where to post. Sorry in case.
thanks for any help, really appreciated.

Sounds like you need a couple mini plug to RCA adapters. You can use the 3.5 output from your TV to most any input on your receiver, AUX, CD, etc. same with your mp3 using the headphone jack.

    Thanks a lot Mr. Peabody.
Having only a 3,5mm audio out is generally a sign of a poor tv?

Not at all, the modern flat panel TV's don't have the room for all the analog type outputs of the older TV's and often today not as necessary, so manufacturers use the 3.5 to conserve space and keep with a thinner design.
