Copying DVD-A I Think using DVD Shrink!
This was discussed briefly several months ago but I forgot what was said. Out of curiosity today, I put on one of the discs I had copied from a DVD-A using DVD Shrink and looked at what my receivers control panel said. It indicated that my DVD-A copy had music coming from all 5 speakers plus my sub yet the DVD-A signal did not show up on my receiver.
What exactly does this mean? Can I have a 5 channel 5.1 recording copy but the disc not be DVD-A and if so what exactly am I not hearing? If what I copied isn't DVD-A, is there a way to copy DVD-A?

You can copy DVD-A just like any other DVD. However you cannot copy the high resolution MLP track. What you end up with is the DD track, just like a standard DVD.
