Comcast DVR with DVD player? Help please

I have a Comcast DVR and want to connect a DVD player to it, but my tv is old and doesnt have any a/v inputs, just coaxial. Connecting it straight to the dvr doesnt work. Does anyone know how to make it work?

Model number? I'm most curious what the DVR has for inputs.

You can't, can you? I don't believe that these things were meant to serve as digital VCRs. I'm guessing that the DVR's inputs are all connected to the tuner, which expects to receive broadcast material, not DVD streams.

Could it work if I used an rf modulator?

You can't, get yourself a DVD/VCR combo, connects with coax for DVD and VCR playback. Run a separate output from the Comcast DVR to the combo input for hard copies

Isn't Macrovision still a problem for the analog signals?
