    CD Player

Hey, guys I need (ok want haha) a new CD player ... it doesn't have to be a multi disc changer. I want it to play good clean music and not skip around after a couple years of use .... I don't want to spend more then 300$ ... anyone got any suggestions? (it won't be used a lot)

Rough pricepoint. I've gotten a Cambridge Audio DVD89 in a secondary ystem for about that price that does a commendable job. Mebbe some of the Marantz gear?
So, I broke into the palace

I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

I've been using an Onkyo 6 disc changer for years with no problems. They're like $200 I think.

    Well...

One brand of CDC I stand by is Yamaha. I've owned 4 Yammie multi-disc CD players over the years and I've either handed down, kept or sold every one. Not a single one has ever, ever failed. Simple as that.

The Marantz 5003 received a lot of praise in that price range. I think the Music Hall 25.2 is as well. An entry Cambridge would be good too.

Arguably the best bargain in the home theater. Very well built and decent PQ. You would be hard pressed to do better for the price. I've heard very good things about their BluRay player also.

I own an Oppo upconverting DVD player that supposedly plays every CD format known to man. Brilliant piece of kit. No complaints on my end. American made, rock solid and wonderful tech support. You can't go wrong.

What Worf said, Oppo is American made and set the industry on it's ear with the cost and performance of their units and I've yet to hear anything negative about their quality. It would be nice if more of our companies took a page from their play book.

Well, that BR player is a tad over your budget, no?

By the way, are you willing to buy used? If so, there are other options.

yea but ive been wanting a blue ray player but they were all like over a grand ... and so if i buy this it can be used as both DVD/BR/CD player so for 200$ more it is worth it to my opinion
