    Can 5.1 be set-up on 7.1 Receiver ?
    Can I setup 5.1 home-theatre on a 7.1 receiver ? I just want to use 1 center channel + 2
    front LR, and 2 rear LR on a Yamaha 2500 receiver ... is it possible. For the 2 rear L & R
    speakers should I connect to terminal marked "surround" or "surround back" ? Thanks

    Hook up your two surround speakers to the "surround" terminals NOT the "surround back" as those terminals are only used in a 7.1 application. Most people are using a 5.1 system, and it will sound fine that way even if your receiver is capable of 7.1 sound.
