    Question Help with bass going in and out while watching TV

    When watching tv we have noticed there is a break in the bass and the sub seems to cut out and we only get sound from the centre and fronts....our sub sat system ....speakers are hooked up to the sub then into the receiver. any ideas on how to fix this and what can cause this...

    please help it's annoying as all hell !!

    You might try connecting the sub out of your recevier to the subwoofer line in or lfe in depending on how the receiver says to hook it up. Then in your receiver settings for speaker setup set the sub to left+right+lfe and set the cross-over frequency to around 80 or 60 hz. This way the receiver handles the crossover instead of the sub.     sorry yes I am using the rca lfe out in the receiver as well....not about the xover I have acousticrap module...there are only 2 dials one says bass the other LFE how do I know what the frequency is when there are no levels written
