Bluray Burner

I am in a market for a external bluray burner so I can copy recordings from portable recording devices such as a hi def harddrive camcorder or hd pocket video recorder and be able to play it back thru the HT system bluray player.


Such as:

Any other recommendations or is there another way to watch the videos.

what kind of output is available on your HD camcorder?

The camcorder unit has s video, component and hdmi outputs.

Edit. My PC has hdmi outputs and the monitor has hdmi input

at best, connect the camcorder directly to the home theater system with HDMI . A Blu-ray recorder would bring nothing to the table

That's what I've been doing.....connecting to the tv thru hdmi. But I would like to make a copy for later viewing and reformat the camcorder harddrive to clear it. In the past I've been copying the camcorder stuff to an external harddrive but I assume the HD material would be converted to SD.
